No doubt you have landed here as you are interested in starting a drop shipping business, whether that’s on a standalone website, through Amazon or even eBay. Basically, you want to start an e-commerce business to sell products online and enjoy the freedom of being your own boss.

Well I have good news for you because you have come to the right place. Let me introduce Salehoo to you.

Salehoo is known as the number one choice when it comes to drop shippers because of this company’s very affordable price, fantastic customer support, and other factors. Clients love working with Salehoo because if their clients need a certain product, they are the ones who will find a supplier for that product, even if the supplier is not included in their database.

This is just one of the many things that separate them from other companies in the same industry. The others simply follow suit based on the amount of merchandise, price, information provide to the clients, and the customer service. Moreover, Salehoo provides its clients with the most in-depth roster of wholesale distributors and suppliers in the industry today.

There are a couple of main roadblocks that entrepreneurial minded folks run into when looking to start their online journey:

  1. It is extremely difficult to find reliable suppliers
  2. It is hard to find local suppliers

Enter Salehoo wholesale directory. Salehoo was built with folks like you in mind, understanding that it can be difficult to source products or even find products that you may want to sell to the masses.

I believe that by the end of this, you are going to feel much more at ease about beginning what could be a profitable and happy online future for you.

 Let it begin!

What exactly is Salehoo?

Salehoo is a community for dropshippers, wholesalers and online retailers. Salehoo is a product research tool that connects you with suppliers so that you can fill your virtual shelves with products that you want to sell online.

If you immediately think what is drop shipping, I’ll give a quick overview. Drop shipping is simply advertising a drop shipping companies products on your own site or on another selling platform like Amazon. You hold no inventory but rather, take the payment for the product, forward the order to the drop shipping business, and they deliver the item.

When using this platform there will be four main areas that you use.

These are:

  1. Directories that show products and wholesalers and/or drop shippers
  2. The Salehoo labs that are great for researching hot and trending products
  3. Training guides from Salehoo
  4. A large forum of wholesalers, sellers and drop shippers

Here’s a deeper dive into what these four areas can do for you.

Wholesale and Drop shipping Directories and Wholesale Products

There are two ways in which you can use this section

  • Use it to find products that are specific to your need
  • Use it to locate suppliers of products

Let’s begin with the first option above

Locating Specific Products to Sell

The first way that you can use the Salehoo directory is to find specific products that you may want to sell.

For example, perhaps you want to find something in the electronic category, maybe a drone which are quite popular.

All you need to do is switch the search over to products and then search for drones.

Once you do this, Salehoo will then return a list of all the drones for sale on the directory, you locate the one that is most interesting to you, then you click on it to get the supplier of that particular drone.

Something of note, not all of the products that are listed in Salehoo directory would represent the entire product catalogue of some suppliers. I would encourage you to contact suppliers that have products you are interested in selling and see if they can provide you with their entire product catalogue.

Your best bet is to search for drones in the supplier field to get the list of all suppliers selling drones.

Once you do this, you can then select suppliers to contact and get full product lists from them.

Product Suppliers Directory

The second option I listed above is using the directory to locate lists of suppliers. So to use another example, let’s say you wanted to locate suppliers selling kitchen goods, you would switch to the suppliers search, type in kitchen goods, and it will provide you with a full list of suppliers who sell products in the kitchen goods niche.

This is perfect for those of you who are looking to either start your own website, sell good on amazon or eBay.

Now you have an extensive list of suppliers selling goods in the niche that is of most interest to you.

Salehoo Directory Search Filters

When searching for products or suppliers, it can help a lot to utilize Salehoo’s search filters.

You are able to filter your searches using the supplier type identifier.

  • Wholesalers
  • Manufacturers
  • Dropshippers
  • Liquidators

A wholesale supplier will meet different needs of those of a drop shipper, manufacturer or liquidator.

So if you are looking for suppliers to sell on Amazon or eBay, or even your own e-commerce website, these filters can be beneficial to your own personal needs.

You are also able to filter by:

  • Categories
  • Worldwide Shipping
  • Location
  • Minimum order
  • Tax ID requirements

Next, we will take a look at contacting suppliers.

Making Contact with Wholesale Suppliers

Ok, you have done a search and have found a list of suppliers that you want to contact. Firstly, you can click on their profiles and you are provided with some initial information about them,

You will be provided with some business information like their minimum order values, their location, whether or not they will ship worldwide, Tax ID requirements and years that they have been on the Salehoo directory.

After this, you can get more information from them like:

  • Different brands they stock
  • Company description
  • Order requirements
  • Company overview
  • Whether they dropship, wholesale, manufacture or liquidate
  • Products that they stock

If everything fits into your e-commerce plan, you can now reach out and contact these suppliers directly.

Direct Contact of Suppliers Through Salehoo

Super easy here, within the supplier profile, there is a contact supplier box that you can click. This will open up a message box and once you have done this, you can simply send a message to the supplier with your information.

This is really a quick way to contact suppliers and the fact that this is built into Salehoo means that your messages and contacts are stored within Salehoo for you for future reference.

Pre-Loaded Message Templates

Also built into the Salehoo platform are pre-formatted messages that can be used for most common questions that get asked.

As an example, they have message for:

  • Wholesale – general inquiries
  • Wholesale – best selling products
  • Drop shipping – Shipping costs and timer
  • Dropshipping on Amazon or eBay

They have the same templates available whether you are inquiring about wholesale, drop shipping, liquidating or manufacturing related questions.

You are also able to edit the templates once you have them uploaded; in case you need to be a little more specific when asking your questions.

You can also use these edited templates to contact multiple suppliers making your journey much faster.

That is about all I have for you on the directory. Next, we will talk about the Salehoo labs.

Product research using the Salehoo Labs

If you are looking for new products to start selling and making some profit from, Salehoo Labs is where you will want to spend some time researching.

There will be a list of random products that you will first need to filter when you first land on this page.

You will have 4 options to filter

  • Average Price
  • Competition
  • Product Type
  • Sell rate – This is the average Amazon/eBay sell to listing ratio. What this means is that if there were 5 out of 10 listed items that sold, the sell ratio would be 50%.

There is a big list of categories that will help you can the best products to sell.

Some of these are:

  • Antiques and Collectibles
  • Adult Products
  • Books and Magazines
  • Baby Products
  • Business & Industrial
  • Cameras and Photos
  • Clothing and Fashion
  • Cars, Motorbikes and Bikes
  • DVD’s and Movies
  • Consumer Electronics
  • Health and Beauty
  • Home and Garden
  • Jewelry and Watches
  • Mobile Phones
  • Pet Supplies
  • Shoes
  • Toys and Games
  • Travel and Outdoors
  • Plus More

So, let’s go to another example. Let’s say that I choose the appliances category and select only low competition, and average of $25-$100 selling price and a sell rate of 30%+

This would, at the time of writing this review, bring up 44 products.

Once you have this list then all you would need to do is see if these products are a good fit for you and your business.

You are then able to sell these products on Amazon, eBay or even your own website.

If you find and products that suit your needs, just click on them to get the supplier information for an particular product.

Potential Suppliers

You will find a list of suppliers that you can use to source your products from. All you will need to do is click on the product supplier link and this will take you into their Salehoo profile and as mentioned above, be able to contact them.

There is also some supplier stat info available for you:

  • Supplier type (Dropship, Wholesale, Manufacturer and liquidator)
  • Minimum order, if there is any
  • The region. This is where the company is located
  • Worldwide shipping

There is also a similar listing tab and from here you will be able to see products that are similar to the ones you are looking for.

This can come in handy for you if you are looking for specific products to sell online.

A handy feature is also that you can save your filter settings and use them for future searches if you need to.

It is a very user-friendly research tool that will no doubt help you locate some profitable products to sell online. If you stock your own website with products or sell on Amazon or eBay, then you will find this invaluable.
